The FOCUS Light Assessment does not give you one grade. It gives you four readings that together show where your drive is leaking. This page explains what each number means and how it is calculated, so you can read your result like a map, not a verdict.
1. The nine-area map (1 to 10 per area)
First you rate nine areas of your life as they feel today, from 1 (heavy, off) to 10 (light, aligned): Direction & Growth, Body & Fitness, Health & Energy, Business or Career & Challenge, Finances, Environment, Recovery & Play, Relationships and Mental Balance. The result shows them as a nine-point shape and lists your three lowest areas.
How to read it: lower means more load or friction, higher means more alignment or stability. The shape matters more than any single number. A business or career question often absorbs pressure that actually sits somewhere else, in energy, money or a relationship. The map is there to catch that before you misdiagnose a focus problem.
This nine-area picture is the Quiet Weight Index component of the result. If you only want that picture with a personal AI summary, QWI Light gives you exactly that as a single score out of 10.
2. The FOCUS profile (0 to 100 per dimension)
Twelve short statements measure the five dimensions of the method: Find the Fuel, Orient the Long Game, Concentrate the Fire, Unlock the Leverage, Sustain Momentum. You answer each on a five-point scale from “not true” to “very true”. Some statements are phrased in reverse (for example, “new opportunities regularly pull me away from priorities”), and those are scored the other way round, so agreeing strongly lowers the dimension rather than raising it.
Each dimension is the average of its statements, converted to a 0 to 100 scale. Your lowest dimension is the primary FOCUS constraint the rest of the result is built on.
How to read it: 80 and above means the dimension is largely working. 50 to 79 is workable with visible leakage. Below 50 usually means this is where energy is being lost right now. Do not try to raise all five at once. Fix the lowest one first, because it caps the others.
3. The role-specific score (0 to 100)
The last ten questions depend on the path you chose. Founder questions test revenue focus: where the cash would go, how much of your time touches customers, whether you could hit your goals without launching anything new, when you last held one project for 90 days. Executive questions test next-chapter clarity: which option you would choose first, what your non-negotiable criterion is, what you are protecting because you earned it, how often you reopen decisions you already made.
Each answer carries 1 to 5 points. The total is shown out of 100. One question in each path is a fork: it asks whether the real bottleneck is the market (reach, opportunities) or focus (drift, positioning). That answer changes the diagnosis you receive.
How to read it: 65 and above with a “market” answer means focus is probably not your primary bottleneck and the result will say so. Below 55, or a low Concentrate / Sustain (founders) or Concentrate / Orient (executives) dimension, means sustained focus is a material constraint. A low Unlock dimension points to leverage you are already paying for but not using.
4. The 90-day leverage area and the three moves
At the end you choose one of the nine areas as the lead variable: the area that would create the biggest positive knock-on effect over the next 90 days. It is deliberately your choice, not a calculation, because you know things the questionnaire does not. Based on your lowest FOCUS dimension you then get three concrete moves to make before adding anything new.
How to read it: treat the leverage area as an experiment for 90 days, not another large project. Do the three moves in order. They are small on purpose.
What the result is not
It is a structured reflection tool, not a clinical, psychological or financial diagnosis, and not a comparison with other people. Two people can have the same numbers and need different next steps. The value is in the conversation it starts, with yourself or with us.
